LeBron James has a long list of PEs that sneakerheads have been clamoring for.
With reports that the LeBron 4 ‘Fruity Pebbles’ will finally be made available to the public, it looks like we could be seeing even more of the King’s exclusive collection. Back in 2004, LeBron laced up a white and gold pair of his signature LeBron 2 for a preseason game against Maccabi Elite Tel Aviv.
Now, 18 years later, the colorway is being unveiled to the public and it looks to be exactly as it was during the game. The mid-cut sneaker features a white and gold upper and an ankle strap with Nike branding across it. LeBron’s original logo returns on the lateral heel as well as on the strap for a real throwback feeling, the logo also features the smallest hint of red on the crown harkening to the Cavs colors of wine and gold. Underneath the removable ankle strap is a laser-etched graphic on the collar. LeBron’s name can be found down the back of the shoe and his nickname ‘King James’ appears on the shoelace aglets. The sneaker is completed by golden the full-length zoom unit.
The release date for the Nike LeBron 2 “Maccabi” is set for September 28 via Nike and select retailers. The retail price has been set at $215.
