A Ma Maniere x Air Jordan 4 “Violet Ore”
A Ma Maniere has taken on the first 3 Air Jordan models and flipped them with a unique luxurious style mostly comprised of a blend of white and burgundy. However, the upcoming A Ma Maniere x Air Jordan 4 “Violet Ore” flips the script entirely and reverses the usual colorblocking for a silhouette that is mostly purple with a tiny hint of white in the midsole.
Air Jordan 4 “Zen Master”
Released in the summer of 2022, the Air Jordan 4 “Zen Master” is an homage to the former Chicago Bulls head coach Phil Jackson who lead the team to six championships. Though fiery on the court, Jackson was well known for his chilled-out persona earning him the ‘Zen Master’ moniker. The sneaker captures this energy by pairing a canvas sneaker with a tie-dye blend of pink and purple for a psychedelic look.
Air Jordan 4 “Raptors”
Sharing the same namesake as the iconic Jordan 7 colorway, the Air Jordan 4 “Raptors” takes similar inspiration from the Toronto-based franchise. While featuring a mostly black base, the speckled purple midsole takes center stage adding a pop of color to the silhouette. The sneaker must have served as a good luck charm for the franchise as its 2018 release foreshadowed the team’s first NBA Championship title the following year.
Air Jordan 4 “Canyon Purple”
One of the newer releases on this list, the Air Jordan 4 “Canyon Purple” features a fuzzy suede upper and speckled green accents on the wings and midsole. The combination of colors makes it reminiscent of the iconic EVA-01 from the legendary Neon Genesis Evangelion series or your favorite Goosebumps book. Jordan Brand knew this women’s shoe would be such a hit that they offered it in extended sizing. The colorway also drew similarities to Travis Scott’s ultra rare Air Jordan 4 colorway thanks to familar colorblocking with the former’s semi-translucent wings and outsole being replaced with the speckled green of the Air Jordan 4 “Canyon Purple.”
Air Jordan 4 “Metallic Purple”
Originally released in 2020 as a part of a four-piece Metallic Pack, the Air Jordan 4 “Metallic Purple” is one of the more subtle options on the list featuring a mostly white leather build. Purple hits throughout the silhouette perfectly contrast with the stark white, especially the metallic shades found on the TPU wings and Jumpman logo found on the heel.
Travis Scott x Air Jordan 4 “Friends and Family”
Travis Scott and Jordan Brand have been on a historic collaborative run for over half a decade with a plethora of memorable colorways and silhouettes and the Air Jordan 4 might one of the most vaunted in that series. While the Houston Oilers colorway is undeniably one of the best joint efforts between the two parties, the limited edition Friends and Family colorway might give it a run for its money. Dressed in a clean purple suede upper with hints of red detailed throughout, these rare kicks might be one of the slickest uses of the hue yet.
