Rui Hachimura’s Air Jordan 36 PE Celebrates Japan

Jordan Brand has been showing love to their star athletes with the Air Jordan 36, first Luka Doncic’s all-red “Matador” PE and followed it up with Jayson Tatum’s ‘66 Ford Mustang-inspired colorway. It looks like Rui Hachimura is next up to bat again.  Hachimura has been one of Jordan Brand’s hottest co-signs. His “Black Samurai” Jordan 8s and 36s set the world on fire with their homage to Rui’s Japanese heritage. The Wizards forward has more in the chamber as they prepare another Air Jordan 6 offering honoring Rui’s history.

The silhouette features a black and red makeup similar to the “Infrared” Air Jordan 36 albeit with additional gold detailing around the eyelets and on the heel tab. The biggest draw is the beautifully embroidered graphical upper adorned with cranes and blooming cherry blossoms in a traditional Japanese art style. Katakana on the heel pull tab and inside the tongue add even more culture to this sneaker. The look is completed by the partially translucent light green outsole and golden Nike Air branding on the heel.

A release date for the Air Jordan 36 x Rui Hachimura has yet to be announced but look for it to be released via Nike and select retailers. Stay tuned to SoleSavy for more sneaker-related news from your favorite brands, including Jordan Brand.
