Artist Salehe Bembury has been blazing a trail with his sneaker collaborations, including a plethora of Pollex Clogs with Crocs that have taken the world by storm. Now the talented artist is returning to New Balance for a new take on the uber-popular New Balance 990v2.
The upcoming silhouette comes built with an open, pink mesh base flocked by matching hairy suede uppers. Reflective silver details appear on the toe box and surrounding the purple chenille “N” logo. Purple accents appear throughout the sneaker, including on the toe box, tongue, and the aforementioned New Balance logo. Of course, it wouldn’t be a Salehe design without his signature fingerprint design appearing on the sneaker. This time, the iconic design appears on the heel counter of the sneaker.
The release date for the Salehe Bembury x New Balance 990v2 “Sand Be The Time” has been set for December 8 via beaspunge.com. A retail price for the sneaker has yet to be announced.
