Social Status x Nike Air Penny 2 ‘Playground’ Release Info

James Whitner and Social Status have been on a heater lately and they have even more on the way. Social Status has always played on themes of childhood and the schoolyard with their ‘Free Lunch†Dunk Series and ‘Recess†Air Max Penny 1s, their recently revealed Air Penny 2 collection celebrates the ‘Playground.â€

The collection includes two color options, a black and white colorway with colorblocking reminiscent of the “Black Royal” colorway with light blue accents in place of the royal blue ones. The other colorway features a white and light blue makeup. Both include a metal hangtag of the Air Penny 2 and action figure style packaging inspired by the boisterous Liâ€l Penny doll portrayed by Chris Rock. 3M reflective piping by the laces, a special cobranded logo on the lateral ankle, and extra laces complete the look.

The Social Status x Air Penny 2 “Playground” in Black/White launch first and will be accessible via Local In-Store Raffles at every Whitaker Group store, a General Raffle on the Social Status website, and a TWG Discord Member-Only Draw all opening on 9.20, providing communities in TWG cities and beyond a number of opportunities and options to access the release. The Social Status x Air Penny 2 Black/White will launch online on October 13 and will retail for $200. The Social Status x Nike Air Penny 2 “Cobalt Pulse” is set to release on November 4 via Social Status and select retailers.
