Awake NY’s upcoming collaborative collection on the Air Jordan 5 is upon us.
After revealing the first colorway in February, we have the first look at the heavily rumored second colorway that will be part of the collaboration.
In a post by bobothe_kid, the Black and Racer Blue colorway has finally been officially unveiled. The sneaker is made of a black premium leather upper- with the Blue accents throughout. The Air Jordan 5 is enjoying a moment in the bright lights this year, and this latest collection with Awake NY will surely find it’s place with sneakerheads.
Much like the Artic Pink colorway that leaked a few months ago, the Black & Racer Blue pair will feature the Awake NY “A” logo on the side panel of the sneaker. This unique alteration to the famous Air Jordan 5 netting differs, once again, though. While the Racer Pink pair featured an A logo that matched the netting, the Black colorway will feature a white logo, and black netting. This unique contrast allows the familiar logo to stand out even more.
The Racer Blue color is a familiar color for Air Jordan. It has often been used throughout retros as a nod to Michael Jordan’s love for motor sports. Now, Awake NY is taking the color to a new place.
The Awake NY Air Jordan 5 collaboration is currently speculated to release sometime in August via Awake NY.
