Under Armour president and CEO Patrik Frisk is stepping down from his roles in June at the footwear and athletic wear company, according to Footwear News‘ Peter Verry.

“It has been the greatest privilege of my career to serve Under Armour athletes, customers, shareholders and teammates,” Frisk said. “I am extremely proud of what we’ve accomplished as a team. Together, we have done a tremendous amount of work to strengthen this iconic brand while significantly solidifying its operations. Colin has an intimate understanding of the Under Armour business and our industry. I have every confidence that his stewardship will allow for a seamless transition.”

Frisk joined the company in 2017 as president and COO. Hw was appointed as CEO in January 2020. Before working at Under Armour, Frisk was CEO of Aldo Group and spent over a decade in leadership roles at VF Corp.

Frisk will also step down as a board member but will remain with the company until September to help with the transition. The brand has appointed COO Colin Browne as interim president and CEO until a successor is named, effective June 1.
