It’s time to duel! Late mangaka Kazuki Takahashi’s ultra popular Yu-Gi-Oh! franchise is getting a collaboration with adidas. The collection includes the adidas Reptossage slide and an all-new silhouette called the adidas ADI2000.
The ADI2000 is evocative of the popular skate shoes of the 2000s era hence the name. Two pairs of sneakers have been revealed with one dedicated to series protagonist Yami Yugi and his Dark Magician and the other to his rival Seto Kaiba and his Blue Eyes White Dragon. Both sneakers feature a white leather base with their respective monsters printed on the side.
Accents matching their color schemes are seen throughout as well including purple laces and heel tabs for the Dark Magician colorway and light blue on the Blue Eye White Dragon. Special Yu-Gi-Oh packaging and hangtags with a piece of Exodia. Kaiba Corp branding appears on the tongue of the Blue Eyes sneaker while the Millenium Puzzle appears on the Dark Magician, semi translucent outsoles with blue and purple coloring respectively tie it all together.
The release date for the Yu-Gi-Oh x adidas ADI2000 collection has been set for October 7.
