The return of the Air Jordan 4 ‘Thunder’ has been a date circled on the calendar for many sneakerheads, both OG and new. Initially released in 2006, alongside the ‘Lightning’ colorway, the ‘Thunder’ Jordan 4 has been a fan favorite for many years. Many great sneakers were released during that era thanks to the LS launches from Jordan Brand (and you can read more about that here).
And now, on May 13th, there will be another opportunity to own a pair of the Air Jordan 4 ‘Thunder.’ (You might remember these also restocked back in 2012, but many people can agree that 11 years is far too long in between retros.)

Release Timing
The release date has been confirmed for May 13th, 2023. We expect most retailers to drop on the 13th, but as with all major Jordan Brand releases recently, these will see plenty of restocks in the coming weeks. We will update this section with more information if anything changes or another drop happens before then.
Stock Numbers
This is arguably Jordan Brand’s biggest drop of the spring season, so there will be plenty of opportunity to purchase these on release day. We already saw a shock drop via SNKRS towards the end of April, indicating that stock should be healthy. There will be a lot of smaller retailers that will carry these, so make sure you have the DROPS by SoleSavy app downloaded so you can keep up with new drops and retailers as they are announced.
