He released 14 signature sneakers (by SS4 Designer Justin Taylor) and many Air Jordan PEs throughout his career. Amongst the most popular was the Air Jordan 2, made to match his Denver Nuggets uniform. Jordan Brand gifted him two special AJ2 pairs in Denver and New York colorways to celebrate his career.
The gold details symbolize his three gold medals for Team USA. The box is lined with graphics such as Melo’s logo, a nod to “Hoodie Melo,” a callout to him being Jordan Brand’s first signature athlete after MJ, the different numbers he wore over his career, and more. “Stay Melo” is on the heels of the shoe as well.
