At the start of this year, Nike began to feed the masses’ desire for Dunks by retro’ing one-third of Nike CO.JP’s 2001 “Ugly Duckling” Pack with the Nike Dunk Low “Plum”. Now with Dunk hype at an all-time high Nike will be releasing the remaining “Ceramic” and “Veneer” Dunk Low colorways from the OG pack this Fall/Winter 2020
While official details and images have yet to arrive, if the “Plum” colorway is any indicator then the “Ceramic” and “Veneer” retros will stay as true to their 2001 debut as possible. The “Ceramic” pair used a Matcha Green tone for the laces, heel, and suede Swooshes. The rest of the upper’s colorblocking continues to use thick suede materials, donning dark Orange for the overlays and Black for the toebox and side paneling. A standard White Dunk midsole and matching dark Orange outsole were the finishing touches. The “Veneer” pair was the more colorful entry with Deep Purple Swooshes, heels, and laces places alongside dark Green overlays and Brown underlays. This pair matched its outsole to its Deep Purple Swooshes as opposed to matching its overlays.
