A Ma Maniere x Air Jordan 1 High OG
Release Date: 12/03/21
Not just one of the best shoes of 2021, the A Ma Maniere x Air Jordan 1 High OG is one of the strongest collabs we’ve ever seen. Inspired by the daily realities that Black people across the country face, the details of this AJ1 were carefully selected by James Whitner and his team. The result is a timeless sneaker that serves as a voice for the voiceless.
Air Jordan 1 Retro High ‘Dark Mocha’
A lot of people try to dunk on the Air Jordan 1 Retro High “Dark Mocha’ for being a takedown of the Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 ‘Mocha.’ Who cares? It’s still a great sneaker and far more accessible than Trav’s. That sultry Mocha upper has been inspiring ‘fits across the globe since these dropped in 2020.
Air Jordan 1 Retro High ‘Clay Green’
Releasing in 2018, the Air Jordan 1 Retro High ‘Clay Green’ is a sneaker you see out and about often due to its limited release in North America as part of the “Best Hand in the Game” pack. That green suede on the upper is somethin’ serious. Wrestling fans may remember Edge making a surprise return at Summerslam 2019 in these.
Check out our dive into who the biggest sneakerheads in wrestling are and what they’re wearing.
Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG ‘Hyper Royal’
When the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG ‘Hyper Royal’ surfaced, sneakerheads immediately noticed its similarities to the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG ‘Turbo Green’ as both feature a washed aesthetic. I’m a sucker for this treatment, and it’s perfect for the Spring/Summer.
Air Jordan 1 Retro High ‘Bred Toe’
Brands don’t always hit on mashups, but Jordan hit a home run with the Air Jordan 1 Retro High ‘Bred Toe.’ This sneaker beautifully blends details from ‘Banned,’ ‘Black Toe,’ and ‘Chicago,’ colorways of the AJ1 for something that’s familiar and all its own.
Union LA x Air Jordan 1 Retro High NRG ‘Black Toe’
“While everyone has their favorite Union collab, it’s hard to argue against the Union x Air Jordan 1 High OG collection’s status as the top dog in the Union x Nike lineage. Taking it a step further, Union’s reinterpretation of Michael Jordan’s first signature shoe is referred to as a grail to many sneakerheads. While the grail term is used flippantly, it’s a fair assessment of the Union x AJ1 collection.” – Luis Torres
Check out Luis’ deep dive into every Union collab ever.
Air Jordan 1 Low OG ‘Neutral Grey’
At SoleSavy, we love when sneakers are accessible to the masses, it doesn’t get much more accessible than the Air Jordan 1 Low OG ‘Neutral Grey.’ Released last year, we saw several restocks of this OG throughout 2021. We even sold over 100 pairs in our member store (at retail of course).
Air Jordan 1 Retro High ‘Rookie of the Year’
It’s hard to believe that the Air Jordan 1 Retro High ‘Rookie of the Year’ was slept on when it was originally released in November of 2018, because had it been released today, sneaker social media would lose their collective mind. Right sneaker, wrong time I suppose. An ode to MJ’s first season on the hardwood, this lush golden harvest sneaker is as crisp as a brisk Autumn morning.
Air Jordan 1 Retro ‘Shattered Backboard
Let’s take a stroll down memory lane; picture Trieste, Italy, on August 25, 1986, where a young Michael Jeffrey Jordan is dominating an exhibition game in his iconic AJ1s. That young Jordan would torch the opposition for an easy 30 and deliver a dunk so thunderous that it broke the rim. Or should I say shattered the backboard?
That dunk lives on through Air Jordan 1 Retro ‘Shattered Backboard,’ though we’ve seen a few takes on this motif, nothing hits harder than the original.
Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG ‘Mocha’
Travis Scott and Jordan are close to batting 1.000, all hits, no misses from these two. Their crowning achievement is the Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Retro OG ‘Mocha,’ a shoe so nice that my L still hurts to this day. The backwards Swoosh, the coffee-colored upper, everything about this sneaker hits.
