Nike is bringing back the King’s second signature shoe as a Nike LeBron 2 retro is set to take place in Fall 2022, according to Complex‘s Brendan Dunne.
Worn by LeBron James throughout the 2004-2005 season, the Nike LeBron 2 was a clear evolution from the Air Zoom Generation. The Nike LeBron 2 was built with a Pebax shell cage that encapsulated Zoom Air as hefty Max Zoom units were added into the heel and forefoot.

The Nike LeBron 2 also included a removable ankle strap for a locked-down fit, extra padding, and a ballistic mesh upper with leather overlays. The LeBron 2 also donned the “LJ23” logo, laser engravings, and LeBron’s lion logo debut.
The Nike LeBron 2 debuted in a black, red, and white colorway and is known for other iterations, including the “Dunkman,” “All-Star Game,” “Chamber of Fear,” and other colorways.
A release date for the Nike LeBron 2 has not been confirmed by Nike. However, the retros intended rollout is set to take place in September, according to documents viewed by Complex. As always, our sneaker monitors and release day strategy will have members ready for drop day.
