Professional golf’s first major championship is coming up this August with the 2020 PGA Championship and to celebrate Nike is releasing a five-piece capsule of psychedelic, tie-dye golfing sneakers. The collection is composed of a Nike Air Max 97 Golf, Zoom Infinity Tour, Zoom Roshe Tour Golf, Zoom Victory, and Air Jordan 5 Golf.
Each pair features a white base with different forms of rainbow tie-dye patterning placed throughout and translucent outsoles with further tie-dye patterns underneath the golf spike treading. For the AM97s this is in the form of the wave lines that stretch across the perimeter of the shoe while the AJ 5 uses the pattern for its side paneling, midsole overlays, and sockliner. The Zoom Infinity Tour is the most understated of the collection with a plain white, Flyknit upper with tie-dye only applied to the heel. The Zoom Roshe, on the other hand, has its entire upper replete in tie-dye. The Victory Tour is applied the rainbow aesthetic only to its top quarter and leaves the remainder of the shoe in untouched white/beige tones.
The collection will have a staggered release throughout August.
