The Three Stripes is bringing back a classic this year. Gilbert Arenas’ first signature shoe, the adidas Gil Zero, is getting a retro treatment after its 2007 debut. With the help of streetwear brand UNDRCRWN, the Gil Zero was redesigned for a ‘90s-inspired look as a part of the “Remix Collection.”
A decade and a half later and adidas is bringing back the Gil Zero. Luckily, the pair is getting the Restomod treatment as updated tech and new materials give the shoe a modern feel while still holding true to the original design. The adidas Gil Zero Restomod “UNDRCRWN” is built with a white base and colorful patterns on the midsole, tongue, toe box, and other areas of the shoe, giving it an authentic ’90s feel.
The adidas Gil Zero Restomod “UNDRCRWN” releases on January 14 for $140 on adidas.com and select retailers. As always, our sneaker monitors and release day strategy will have members ready for drop day.
