After compiling data from female athletes and testing teams, adidas Basketball announced its new performance basketball shoe designed just for women, the Exhibit Select.
The Exhibit Select reflects our unwavering commitment to women in basketball and providing them with the best performance footwear possible, designed and tested by women, for women.
Eric Wise, Global GM of adidas Basketball
In designing the Exhibit Select, adidas gathered feedback from their extensive list of WNBA athletes and selected focus groups. For more than a decade, adidas has worked to shine a light on women’s basketball. In 2008, the Los Angeles Sparks selected Candace Parker, now widely considered one of the greatest WNBA players of all time. Parker signed a shoe deal with adidas soon after and became the first woman with Three Stripes to receive a signature shoe in 2010 (with the adidas Ace Commander).
adidas’ latest breakthrough is game-changing because the Exhibit Select will finally provide women with an exclusive, premium basketball shoe that specifically addresses their needs. The adidas Exhibit Select delivers stability and comfort with its neoprene upper and proprietary Bounce cushioning underfoot.
Hailey Van Lith, collegiate basketball phenom and recent LSU transfer, headlines adidas’ inaugural campaign for the Exhibit Select.
Exhibit Select is built from the ground up with women in mind. I’m excited to wear a product that really provides the support and confidence boost I need to dominate on the court. I have always admired adidas and how they show up for women.
Hailey Van Lith
adidas will have its athletes roll out the adidas Exhibit Select throughout the 2023 WNBA season with names such as Nneka Ogwumike, Chiney Ogwumike, Kahleah Copper, Aliyah Boston, and of course, Candace Parker.
We’ll see the adidas Exhibit Select release on August 1st, and you can purchase them at adidas.com and through select retailers.
