The adidas T-Mac 1 “All-Star” is Hitting the Court in 2022

We are quickly approaching the 20th anniversary of one of the most memorable NBA All-Star Games of all time. It featured a mix of legends and upcoming talent and was the final All-Star game where players wore their team uniform. The 2002 All-Star game held in Philadelphia featured a duel between two of the games most dynamic scorers and adidas signature athletes Kobe Bryant and Tracy McGrady. While the hometown kid Kobe Bryant took home MVP honors and the dub, arguably the most magical moment of the show belongs to T-Mac.

With the ball in his hands and down 45-38, Mac took one quick burst inside the three point line before tossing a lob off the backboard to himself for a rim-rattling slam dunk creating a moment those watching would never forget. Now 20 years after that duel, adidas is once again revitalizing the shoe Tracy wore during that dazzling game. The adidas T-Mac 1 “All-Star” reappeared back in 2012 to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the legendary silhouette and it’s only right to return.

The adidas T-Mac 1 “All-Star” features a mostly silver colorway with a rubber black strip appearing on the silhouette’s lateral side that forms the shoe’s iconic toe cap. The T-Mac 1 logo normally located on the shoe’s lateral heel has been replaced with a 20 to commemorate the anniversary while the Liberty Bell and “2002” appear on the heels to honor the date and location of the game.

The adidas T-Mac 1 “All-Star” is set to release in the coming months at adidas.com and other select retailers. As always, our sneaker monitors and release day strategy will have members ready for drop day.
