Let’s breakdown what happened on todays drops.
7AM EST
Haven was a waste of time, they had under 100 pairs. YCMC only dropped 5 sizes. Livestock, as I have been preaching since yesterday, was hands down the best option. They dropped just over 3,000 pairs. This was the best option ALL day and I really hope people got up for this in the morning. I see a lot of success but also some issues that occurred around the new captcha and checkout, this happens and is just part of the learning curve. Overall Livestock at 7AM EST was a big success and we need more options like this.
FinishLine/JD/Footsites:
As usual there was decent success on FNL and JD but Footsites were a disaster.
8AM EST
UNDFTD was the only option and they had very little stock, it looks like around 200 pairs and it flew. I got to payment but that was about it.
9AM EST:
Yeezy Supply as usual was a disaster with some success. Overall my most hated website.
10AM EST:
A few things happened here. ShoePalace dropped late and ruined their own release and basically gave all stock to bots.
KITH used new bot protection and it worked really well, I suspect not a single bot worked on KITH. 600ish pairs and this was a good drop. KITH also used multiple questions it looked like. I answered Adidas for mine and it looks like 350 was also another answer. I see some people noted they had to re-queue so we can discuss this in the DMs but overall you have to make sure you properly clear your cache and cookies.
OVERALL:
Livestock was the #1 option due to high stock and new bot protection. KITH was the #2 option because of okay stock and new bot protection. Everything else was a decent back up option but no where near as consistent as the others.
WHAT I CAN DO BETTER:
I totally forgot to update monitor configuration for JimmyJazz, KITH and DTLR so thats may bad. Stores turned off monitoring and I had a way around that this morning but in the midst of all the zooms I forgot to update those 3 sites after. Luckily for KITH we had the early link and that was where we tried to focus your attention but I still should have updated it.
DEMAND:
With high stock overall the demand on this was still insane, Livestock sold out of 3K pairs in under 5 minutes. While I personally was very confident I could get a pair, I obviously have been at this for years on shopify sites and at these methods. I ended up with 2 pairs today.
STRATEGY:
This was a really hard one to juggle. A lot of shit was going on at different times with different variables. Sometimes you just need to be able to think on your feet quickly and adjust and today was one of those releases. Demand and attention was cranked way up and with that came a lot of things to account for to checkout.
GOING FORWARD:
No matter how high stock is for a release, or how easy it might seem, you should never take for granted the fact hundreds of thousands of people want the shoe. I say this as we head into the Jubilee 11s. Do I think you can get them easily? Yes I do. Do I think you should be lax about? Absolutely not, its still going to fly.
RESELL?
Prices right now are pushing $400 USD as people panic buy. Legit 200K+ pairs need to hit the US market, the price will drop. I would not buy a 350 Bred unless the price went under $330 USD and me personally I would wait for $300 USD. Otherwise I am waiting and being patient.
MEMBER STORE:
I have a bunch of 350s coming to the memberstore along with a bunch of Fire Red 4s. We will release this all in January because I honestly just dont want to ship 200-300 shoes in December during the holiday rush.
