The fruitful partnership between ALD and New Balance continues.
Teddy Santis and New Balance have long established a successful partnership, whether it be through Aimé Leon Dore or Santis’s work as Creative Director for the Mi USA Line. Their latest collaborative effort, though, is new territory for both Santis and New Balance.
The RC56 will mark the first time New Balance allows a partner to create a brand new silhouette. Though the brand often uses their talented roster of partners to introduce new models into the rotation, this time, Santis and ALD have created their own new model.
Inspired by New Balance archival cross-country running shoes from the early 2000s, the RC56 features bold overlays, dynamic print lines, and a distinctive low-profile tooling design unique to the brand. These elements reference the speed-driven aesthetics of early-2000s performance models, reinterpreted through a contemporary lens.
The sneaker will arrive in three colorways exclusive to ALD- Prestine, Navy, and Neon with Grey. With fashion trends currently surrounding both the world of racing and running, the Rc56 will surely find a home with the most fashionable of people ready to hit the road.
The raffles for the Aimé Leon Dore and New Balance RC56 are now live via ALD.
