Jordan Brand revisits its historic “Banned” colorway and story once more with the latest Air Jordan 1 High OG. Though the actual “Banned” shoe was the Air Ship, the Air Jordan 1 legacy will always be rooted in the “Banned” tale.
Jordan Brand revisits the commercial with the upcoming Air Jordan 1 High OG “Rebellionaire” colorway, as the name draws inspiration from Michael Jordan’s and Nike’s rebellious nature to continue to wear the shoe after the ban and $5,000 every time the shoe was worn. Hence, the rebel + billionaire nickname for the colorway.
The Air Jordan 1 High OG “Rebellionaire” is composed of a black, grey, and white color combination. The upper of the shoe is covered in text that reads “They can’t stop you from wearing them,” which draws back to the commercial. The shoe’s heels include the iconic red “X” as well.
The Air Jordan 1 High OG “Rebellionaire” reportedly releases on March 19 for $170, exclusively at select Nike NBHD retailers. As always, our sneaker monitors and release day strategy will have members ready for drop day.
