All-New Air Jordan 3 “Desert Elephant” Continues Tradition

Michael Jordan’s rise to stardom was brewing in his third year in the league. After a successful rookie season, expectations and pressure rose. Subsequently, the Air Jordan line took a life of its own as the shoes became as anticipated as the man wearing them.

The Air Jordan 3, Tinker Hatfield’s first creation for Michael Jordan, was a revolution in and of itself. All-new design language with the exposed heel Air unit, the Nike Air tab on the back, the elephant print wrapped around the shoe, and the Jumpman logo on the tongue equated to a classic in the making. With Jordan dunking from the free-throw line to and leading the Bulls to the playoffs, the Air Jordan 3 launch in 1988 captured the essence and excellence of the Air Jordan line and his Airness.

To this day, the Air Jordan 3 continues to be a critical storytelling vessel for the brand through general releases and collaborations; the latest is no different.

The iconic Air Jordan 3 and its marquee elephant print get an all-new look with the Air Jordan 3 “Desert Elephant” colorway. Dressed in an all-black leather upper, the AJ3 features a pop of rose and orange on the tongue, eyestay, and collar. The elephant print is dipped in an earthy brown tone, living up to its “Desert Elephant” nickname. Additionally, the colorway includes a patch on the insole with a graphic that depicts the evolution of the AJ3 — from mammal to man.

The Air Jordan 3 “Desert Elephant” releases on July 30 for $200 on SNRKS and select retailers. As always, our sneaker monitors and release day strategy will have members ready for drop day.

Sole Savy is unreal! With a busy schedule it’s hard to keep up on shoes, and the group keeps me up to date on releases, tips on how to manually cop, and a marketplace with killer deals from fellow like minded collectors. It’s changed the sneaker game for me!

@SoleSavy is the truth. They've helped me cop kicks I never would've imagined getting at retail. Members always willing to assist on drops too. And most of all, a REAL community of REAL sneakerheads. These guys should be the gold standard for sneaker communities! #LifetimeMember

My membership paid for itself three fold by being solely responsible for my union 4’s, mesh sacai waffles, sacai blazers, court purple aj1s, glow in the dark yeezy 350s, travis scott lows (which I traded to get desert ore ow’s), air max 1 londons, bc3’s for way under retail etc.

Can't say enough about SS. The stellar help with copping shoes is a given but it's the community that makes it extra special. Hands down one of the best decisions I made as a wannabe sneakerhead.

The community of sneakerheads and resources available to help manually cop are great and really will help you get more Ws. The Zoom calls for hyped drops like Union Jordan 4 only adds to the camaraderie while providing real time instruction
