2020 marks thirty-five years since the debut of the Air Jordan 1 as well as the 30th anniversary of the Air Jordan 5. Coinciding with both milestones, Jordan Brand has decided to officially unveil the latest in the mainline Air Jordan series, the Air Jordan 35. Using the previous AJ 34 as the groundwork through which to build to the AJ 35, Jordan Brand has come out with a lightweight, high-top basketball shoe that puts performance at the forefront without sacrificing style. By improving upon the last model Eclipse Plate with the AJ 35’s “Eclipse Plate 2.0” the shoe gives its wearer an even greater energy return from the Zoom Air unit in the heel and forefoot. A “Flightwire” upper is implemented as well, serving as a performance-oriented version of Nike Flywire thus allowing the shoe to maintain its structure and stability while still being lightweight. The AJ 35 will debut in a multi-colored colorway dubbed “The Center of Gravity” who’s color scheme is based off the OG AJ 5. The shoe will launch first in China on September 27th followed by a global release on October 17th. Future colorways have also been previewed and can be seen below.
