The Air Jordan 5 took flight in 1990. Since then, Michael Jordan’s fifth signature silhouette has sported legendary colorways from OGs like “Fire Red” to collab’s like the late Virgil Abloh’s OFF-WHITE x Air Jordan 5s.
The Air Jordan 5 is forever-embraced with its daring design elements that Tinker Hatfield perfectly executed. Its reflective tongue, translucent lace lock, and the signature “teeth” on the midsole, inspired by the nose art of the “Flying Tiger” World War II-era P-51 Mustang.
With spring right around the corner, Jordan Brand is cooking up a seasonal Air Jordan 5 as the “Easter” colorway incorporates pastel hues. The upcoming Air Jordan 5 “Easter” features a pink upper with purple across the netting, midsole, laces, and inner lining — that purple accents the Jumpman logos on the tongue and heel. The outsole and midsole speckles are coated in a green hue. Special packaging will accompany the latest colorway.
The Air Jordan 5 “Easter” releases on May 27 for $210 on SNKRS and select retailers. As always, our sneaker monitors and release day strategy will have members ready for drop day.
