Upcoming Air Jordan 5 Adds to the “Shattered Backboard” Series

The Air Jordan 5 continues to be a favorite canvas for Jordan Brand. Though the silhouette was top of mind in 2020 for its 30th anniversary, the model continues to be culturally relevant as it always should.

Jordan Brand is bringing a beloved non-OG color combination to the AJ5 as the “Shattered Backboard” colorway adds to the litany of drops under the famed orange, white, and black combination. The Air Jordan 5 “Shattered Backboard” is built with a sail leather upper as textile mesh adorns the collar, quarter panel, and tongue. In typical Air Jordan 5 fashion, a silver reflective tongue and matching shark teeth on the midsole stay true to AJ5 DNA.  Orange details on the Jumpman and midsole complete the colorway, and a slightly colored translucent outsole adds the final touch.

The Air Jordan 5 “Shattered Backboard” takes flight on October 2 for $190 on SNKRS and select retailers. As always, our sneaker monitors and release day strategy will have members ready for drop day.
