Jordan Brand unlocks its vault once again to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the “Playoffs” Air Jordan 8. The OG colorway will grace us with its presence for the first time in a decade.
In 1993, Michael Jordan debuted the Air Jordan 8 “Playoffs” when his Chicago Bulls were en route to their third consecutive NBA Championship. MJ and the Bulls bested Charles Barkley and the Phoenix Suns at the 1993 NBA Finals, defeating the Suns 4-2, and in the process, Jordan picked up his third straight NBA Finals MVP.
The silhouette returns to its original form as the 2023 version features the iconic red heel tab absent on the 2013 pairs. Its upper arrives in black nubuck with red and white accents and a multicolor outsole that we’ve come to expect.
On May 5th, the SNKRS Live Jordan Retro Preview gave us an in-hand look at the shoe.
The Air Jordan 8 “Playoffs” will release on Saturday, September 30th, on the SNKRS App and at select retailers for $210. Enjoy an on-foot look at the silhouette below courtesy of therealsonofsomeman.
