Yoon Ahn and Nike have more on the way. After the success of the AMBUSH x Nike Air Max 180 and the AMBUSH x Nike Dunk High collections, the fashion designer is stepping into the Nike Basketball archives for inspiration.
After a series of teases, AMBUSH’s creative director has relayed that the Nike Air Adjust will be the next canvas for the AMBUSH label. The Air Adjust, released in 1996, has yet to see a retro since its late-90s debut. Now, Yoon is taking matters into her own hands with her upcoming collab.
The Nike Air Adjust was a cult classic. Worn by Nike Basketball-sponsored teams such as the University of North Carolina, Maryland, and others, the Air Adjust was a favorite due to its performance features and overall aesthetic — especially its interchangeable straps.

The Air Adjust returns with some AMBUSH flair more than 25 years after its original release. While the specifics are still unknown, we anticipate AMBUSH letting on the heels and subtle branding throughout. As of now, a black and white colorway with a black strap and purple patch has surfaced though we can expect more if Yoon adapts the Air Adjust’s interchangeable straps design. A new feature on the retro version includes recycled materials on the Nike Grind heel as a part of Nike’s Move To Zero sustainable efforts. The collaborative shoe has now surfaced in white as well, raising the possibility that the AMBUSH x Nike Air Adjust will include several colorways.
A release date for the AMBUSH x Nike Air Adjust has not been announced. However, we expect the collaboration to release soon on AMBUSHDesign.com, SNKRS, and select retailers. As always, our sneaker monitors and release day strategy will have members ready for drop day.
