New Balance collaborations in 2020 continue to prove themselves to be wholly unique amongst an ever-growing sea of footwear collaborations. For their latest Fall ready partnership, New Balance has teamed up with Japan’s BEAUTY & YOUTH for a subtle take on the RC205 silhouette – formerly known as the COMP800 when first released in 1996.
Complete with advertising that bears a striking resemblance to Aimé Leon Dore‘s own referential posters, the BEAUTY & YOUTH x New Balance RC205 comes in two autumnal colorways of either brown or beige. The brown pair comes at a slightly higher price point due to its use of leather overlays as opposed to suede as is the case with the beige pair. The latter comes in various shades of beige paneling and mesh underlays while the prior is a simple, two-toned brown/white. Both pairs are currently available for pre-order via United Arrows with a standard online and in-store release at United Arrows and Beauty & Youth stores on September 19th.
