COMME des GARÇONS’ latest collaboration with Nike has been unveiled, as the Japanese label takes on the Terminator High.
This year marks the 40th anniversary for the basketball sneaker, and CdG has switched things up by removing much of the paneling and opting for printing instead. Marks for the tip, Swoosh, and mustache have are printed directly onto smooth white leather instead of appearing as separate panels. Faint stitching does surround the mustache, and both the eyelets and heel appear raised as normal.
On the left heel you’ll find a massive “CDG” logo, also printed, mismatched by a “Nike” spell-out on the right. This largely flat take on the Terminator High will arrive in three colorways: Black, Navy, and Red, all of which use the colors atop a white base. For the lookbook, CDG and Nike enlisted House + Holme to create an AI-generated campaign.
The COMME des GARÇONS x Nike Terminator High will drop April 1 through CDG and Dover Street Market’s stores, as well as the latter’s website. Pricing is set at $235, which should come as a relief for those expecting a higher CDG markup. Download the DROPS by SoleSavy app to stay updated on all the hottest releases.
