Converse continues to garner attention in the basketball world, first came the promising new partnerships and now the unveiling of an all-new sneaker built for the courts. Releasing just after the return of the 2019-2020 NBA season, the Converse All Star BB EVO releases August 1st.
Designed with a year’s worth of feedback in tow, this upgrade to last year’s All Star Pro BB model sees upgrades in a variety of departments. The frosted blue midsole and outsole feature a lug sole tread for better traction and features a REACT foam midsole encapsulated inside. The shoe has a higher profile now as well with its extended, padded ankle collar for extra stability and comfort and Nike Flywire technology keeping the player’s feet properly contained without adding any extra bulk to the shoe. The debut Black/University Red colorway sees the shoe dressed in Black knit across the lateral sides and White on the medial sides. Converse’s Star Chevron logo is knit onto the lateral sides in a double-stacked pattern that makes the shoe look like it is already in motion.
