Fans of high-quality denim construction and the natural distressing that comes along with it are in for a treat this Fall 2020. Nike has teamed up with Dutch denim company DENHAM The Jeanmaker on a collaborative collection see for release this Fall season, highlighted by an embellished version of the beloved, OG Air Max 95 “Neon”. A larger cpasule collection is also slated to arrive alongside the AM 95s this Fall.
Featuring the exact same color blocking as the debut colorway of the AM 95s, the DENHAM iteration eschews the suede and mesh construction of its upper for high-quality, dyed denim. While the black midsole and Volt Green air bubble remain intact, the gradient of the original is achieved by using four different shades of denim with their own subtle details. Black, dark grey, light grey, and khaki toned denim are stacked atop one another, the undyed portions of natural white thread gradually peeking through more and more as the gradient lightens up. The toebox is also constructed out of dark black denim. The entire product is intended to be worn, and worn heavily, resulting in natural fades and distressing unique to every wearer. The insole arrives with DENHAM’s signature sciccors. logo and Nike co-branding.
