Dior debuted its FW22 show in fashion with the help of Birkenstock. Following the company’s recent hits with Stüssy and Concepts, the clog gets elevated through the famed fashion house. Dior men’s footwear designer Thibo Denis previewed the Dior x Birkenstock that reimagines the Tokio silhouette.
The Dior x Birkenstock Tokio is crafted with a reinforced rubber toe and includes a grey felt and brown lambskin. Floral embroidery dons one of the versions. The cross-foot straps are upgraded with Dior’s buckles, introduced by 1017 ALYX 9SM’s founder Matthew M. Williams. The outsole features a tonal finish with Dior monogram branding alongside Birkenstock’s logos.
A release date for the Dior x Birkenstock Tokio collection has not been officially announced. However, we expect the pairs to release in the upcoming months through Dior. As always, our sneaker monitors and release day strategy will have members ready for drop day.
