DIOS Channels Houston’s Spirit on the adidas Superstar XLG

DIOS’ collaboration with adidas is a celebration of the Space City.

Founded in 2020 in Houston, DIOS (Did It Ourselves) has channeled the city’s spirit of hustle, authenticity, independence, and community into a city-favorite streetwear brand. Co-founded by rapper Le$ and creative visionary Jorgey, DIOS draws inspiration from Houston’s deep-rooted culture of music and cars. For Houstonians, DIOS is a movement that celebrates self-made ambition and creative resilience, empowering others to make it happen for themselves.

DIOS has joined forces to reimagine one of sneaker culture’s most iconic silhouettes, the adidas Superstar, through a lens of that same Houston independence, creativity, and community. The collaboration honors the hustle and heart of Houston, a city defined by self-made ambition, music, and movement.

This connection on the Superstar XLG embodies what’s possible when passion, hard work, and vision come together. DIOS represents a generation of hustlers, artists, and creators who build their own lanes and inspire others to do the same.

The DIOS Superstar reimagines the Superstar XLG silhouette in two colorways: Cream (friends and family release only) and Black (commercial release). Both feature wear-away canvas stripes that reveal leather tones underneath, evolving with every step and symbolizing growth through grind. Each pair is finished with a gold DIOS pendant, unique logo placements, and design details that merge Houston’s authenticity with adidas Originals’ timeless craftsmanship.

Houston, sometimes referred to affectionately as ‘Hustletown’, has become a space for creatives like DIOS to prosper. After all, it is the same city where neighbors pick themselves up in the face of a crisis. Houston is a melting pot of cultures- where they often collide to create something truly special. It is a resilient city. A prideful city. And, above all, it is generally a community ready to support one another when the going gets tough.

This message is felt, clearly, in DIOS’ campaign video for this upcoming collaboration. Featuring the likes of Houston Rap Icon Bun B, the campaign champions Houston’s energy of knowing how to get their hands dirty and dreaming big. To Jorgey and LE$, this collaboration is more than putting their stamp on one of the most iconic sneakers of all time. It is about celebrating the city, and the cultures that live within it- and how they influenced them to succeed. Furthermore, they hope to influence the next generation to do the same.

Together, adidas Originals and DIOS champion Houston’s diverse culture of creators, those who don’t wait for opportunities, but do it themselves. To celebrate the launch, adidas and DIOS have teamed up to host a block party and pop-up at the DIOS store on 3917 Main St in Houston, TX on November 22nd.

The adidas Originals x DIOS Superstar will release on November 24th for $130 exclusively on adidas Confirmed.

Sole Savy is unreal! With a busy schedule it’s hard to keep up on shoes, and the group keeps me up to date on releases, tips on how to manually cop, and a marketplace with killer deals from fellow like minded collectors. It’s changed the sneaker game for me!

@SoleSavy is the truth. They've helped me cop kicks I never would've imagined getting at retail. Members always willing to assist on drops too. And most of all, a REAL community of REAL sneakerheads. These guys should be the gold standard for sneaker communities! #LifetimeMember

My membership paid for itself three fold by being solely responsible for my union 4’s, mesh sacai waffles, sacai blazers, court purple aj1s, glow in the dark yeezy 350s, travis scott lows (which I traded to get desert ore ow’s), air max 1 londons, bc3’s for way under retail etc.

Can't say enough about SS. The stellar help with copping shoes is a given but it's the community that makes it extra special. Hands down one of the best decisions I made as a wannabe sneakerhead.

The community of sneakerheads and resources available to help manually cop are great and really will help you get more Ws. The Zoom calls for hyped drops like Union Jordan 4 only adds to the camaraderie while providing real time instruction
