Nearly two decades ago, Nike and eBay partnered up to create one of the rarest Nike SB Dunks of all time. Back in 2003, Nike produced three pairs of the eBay x Nike SB Dunk Low. One was sold for $26,000, another was cut into four pieces, and the final was gifted to the “man who put the SB in Nike SB,” the late Sand Bodecker, as a retirement gift later in 2008.
For its return in 2022, the sneaker is revived with a unique remix that pays homage to the original release. The sneaker features a white leather base with yellow, green, red, and blue overlays matching the colors of eBay’s logo. The silhouette also features 4 clear pieces throughout the sneaker across the sole and side panels mimicking how the second pair was cut in fourths. The red outsole is separated by icy translucent pieces, giving the outsole a cut look as well. Completing the look is the SB logo on the heels and graphic insoles featuring Sandy Bodecker and his son.
The Nike SB Dunk Low “Sandy Bodecker” will be available at select skate shops starting December 15 and via SNKRS on December 17. The retail price has been set at $130.
