END. and Salomon are teaming up for the first time with a collab inspired by one of the most challenging traditions in the world. The upcoming END. x Salomon XT-Wings 2 “Sirocco” is inspired by the Marathon Des Sables, a six-day, 251 km ultramarathon that stretches the distance of six regular marathons.

The “Sirocco” colorway, named after the harsh winds that originate in the ecoregion where the challenge takes place, gets a sandy makeover on the upper. A tonal, breathable mesh upper, a specialist chassis system and grip technology ensure optimal comfort and security along with Salomon’s signature toggle fastening engineered to take on the Marathon that the collab draws inspiration from.

The upcoming END. x Salomon XT-Wings 2 “Sirocco” falls in line with the 2022 Footwear Trend Predictions story, curated by SoleSavy with the help of industry figures. Not only are we getting more collaborations, but retailers and creatives are getting technical with the help of Salomon.

The END. x Salomon XT-Wings 2 “Sirocco” releases on February 5 for $160 on END., which currently has a raffle open for the collab. A wider release date has not been announced.
