Fear of God’s diffusion line ESSENTIALS is taking a whole new turn with their next Converse collaboration, the 1988 Skid Grip Hi. WIth the Skid Grip Hi being a lesser-known silhouette from the American footwear giants, FoG ESSENTIALS is given the unique opportunity to essentially retro a silhouette while simultaneously making it their own. Complete with a maximalist, abstract, neon pink and blue pattern throughout the canvas upper, the shoe is far removed from the muted basics that Lorenzo’s line is known for. Sitting atop an extra-thick, vulcanized rubber midsole and outsole, these will stand out in anyone’s sneaker rotation.
The FoG ESSENTIALS x Converse SKid Grip Hi drops August 27th for $120 at select retailers. For more information on how to secure yourself a pair for retail, consider a SoleSavy membership. Our members are always one step ahead when it comes to copping these and other heat for retail, never resell.
