There is no debating the Air Jordan 1 is one of the most important sneakers of all time.

In a time in the sneaker space where more and more brands find themselves in the mix for the attention of sneaker-heads, the demand has squandered some. That said, iconic sneaker is poised to have a huge 2025 with the return of the Bred colorway and many more rumored to come.

While a lot of the anticipation seems to be surrounding the Air Jordan High, the Air Jordan 1 Low is quietly gearing up to release in several classic colorways and a few highly anticipated collaborations.

With several Air Jordan 1 Lows looking to make noise this year, lets take a look at the pairs that will potentially be the loudest. The pairs that could help the Air Jordan 1 Low to have a huge year- perhaps even surpassing it’s Hightop counterpart.

March 2025- Air Jordan 1 Low “Obsidian”

At the cusp of the 2020 sneaker boom, Jordan Brand released the Air Jordan 1 High Obsidian. This non-OG colorway was a huge success for the brand. In the boom of the pandemic, the sneaker was one of the most coveted Air Jordan 1 Highs. Now, six years later, the Obsidian is returning in a low top form.

April 2025- Air Jordan 1 Low “Rookie of the Year”

Another late 2010s favorite is receiving the the low treatment. Releasing in 2018, the Air Jordan 1 High Rookie of the Year celebrated Jordan’s massive achievement. The brown on the upper, of course, commemorates the brown jacket Jordan wore when receiving the award in 1985. Slated for later in the Spring, the ROYs will surely be a part of many sneaker heads Summer and Fall 2025 sneaker rotations.

Fall 2025- Travis Scott x Fragment x Air Jordan 1 Low “Military Blue”

Now, here is where things get a little interesting.

In 2021, Travis Scott tapped Hiroshi Fujiwara’s Fragment and released one of the most beloved Travis Scott collaborative sneakers ever. The High tops were a culture shock; and the low tops might as well have broken the internet. To this day they are some of the most sought after sneakers in the market. So when Fujiware (pictured below) was spotted wearing an unreleased colorway of another Travis Scott x Fragment sneaker-the internet stood at attention. It looks like this year will finally be the year for this new “Military Blue” colorway to release. We still have not seen official images from Nike, but you can bet this shoe will find itself in many “Sneaker of the Year” lists come December if released.

Fall 2025- Nigel Sylvester x Air Jordan 1 Low

Nigel has without a doubt cemented himself as Jordan Brand’s strongest force. With an Air Jordan 4 collaboration already revealed for March, it is expected that an Air Jordan 1 Low will be part of the mix sometime in the fall. As Sylvester’s momentum continues to grow, it is fair to expect that this sneaker will be one of the most coveted releases of the year. It is rumored that the Nigel Sylvester x Air Jordan 1 Low will look similar to the Black Air Jordan 1 High that Nigel was spotted wearing in 2022 (pictured below).

Fall 2025- Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Storm Blue”

Jordan Brand wants to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Air Jordan 1 in style. One of the original colorways of the sneaker, the Storm Blue, will release in a low top for the first time ever. Though Nike has not officially announced the release, it is rumored the pair will be in the “OG cut”. If the sneaker does release, it will be the first time we see the Storm Blue colorway since the 2016 retro.

Holiday 2025- Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Chicago”

Saving the best for last.

Perhaps the most anticipated of the bunch will release to end the year. The Chicago colorway is the Air Jordan 1 colorway, no matter the cut of the sneaker. This holiday season, it is rumored that Jordan Brand will be bringing back the Chicago in the OG low cut. There are also rumblings that the pair will have the oversized swoosh that made the 2016 Chicago low so memorable (seen below).

Jordan Brand is going all in to celebrate the Air Jordan 1’s 40th anniversary. While the Air Jordan 1 High already has several “sneaker of the year” contenders rumored to be coming, the Air Jordan 1 Low will make several cases for itself this year.

With releases like the Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low “Velvet Brown” and the Air Jordan 1 Low “Mocha” already released, the attention of the sneaker world has already gravitated towards the Jordan 1 Low.

With the aforementioned releases, and many more rumored to come, the Air Jordan 1 Low will be making a strong case to compete with its hightop counterpart in 2025.

Sole Savy is unreal! With a busy schedule it’s hard to keep up on shoes, and the group keeps me up to date on releases, tips on how to manually cop, and a marketplace with killer deals from fellow like minded collectors. It’s changed the sneaker game for me!

@SoleSavy is the truth. They've helped me cop kicks I never would've imagined getting at retail. Members always willing to assist on drops too. And most of all, a REAL community of REAL sneakerheads. These guys should be the gold standard for sneaker communities! #LifetimeMember

My membership paid for itself three fold by being solely responsible for my union 4’s, mesh sacai waffles, sacai blazers, court purple aj1s, glow in the dark yeezy 350s, travis scott lows (which I traded to get desert ore ow’s), air max 1 londons, bc3’s for way under retail etc.

Can't say enough about SS. The stellar help with copping shoes is a given but it's the community that makes it extra special. Hands down one of the best decisions I made as a wannabe sneakerhead.

The community of sneakerheads and resources available to help manually cop are great and really will help you get more Ws. The Zoom calls for hyped drops like Union Jordan 4 only adds to the camaraderie while providing real time instruction
