Jaden Smith unveiled his third collaboration with New Balance at Coachella 2023 during his sister’s performance. The Boston-based footwear company and Smith have previously released a 574 and Vision Racer model.
We don’t know much about the upcoming silhouette, but images suggest the black and white prototype will look similar to the fan-favorite New Balance 550. Smith’s unnamed sneaker is a low-top with a deconstructed rubber cupsole, exposing three midsole sections reminiscent of the Vision Racer. A miniature “NB” logo is printed along the upper instead of the 550’s traditional “N” marking, although both shoes are constructed of leather.
Smith has been a member of New Balance’s family since 2019.
Neither party has announced an official release date, but a New Balance representative has confirmed it will be available later this year. Stay tuned for more details.
