Recently Jayson Tatum made waves in the sneakerhead community with his Air Jordan 14 PE inspired by his classic 1966 Ford Mustang. JT is looking to rev it up on the court with the upcoming release of an Air Jordan 36 with the same inspiration.
Following the release of Luka Doncic’s ‘El Matador’ PE, the Celtics star is the next Jumpman athlete to drop an Air Jordan 36 PE. The silhouette features a black base with the LenoWeave mesh making up most of the upper. Patent leather appears on the ankle collar and tongue to give it that new car sheen.
The quilted leather pull tab on laces evokes the look of the padded seat and includes a Mustang-inspired decal as well while silver piping around the eyestays nods to the chrome pipes of the Mustang. Other details like the Mustang flag colors interpolated into the heel tab and Nike Air below it on the heel and Tatum’s son Deuce’s name on the inner tongue. The look is completed by the translucent outsole. The Air Jordan 36 x Jayson Tatum “Mustang” drops September 9 via Nike and select retailers. The retail price has been set at $200.
