Jayson Tatum is having the best summer ever. First, he led the Boston Celtics to their record 18th NBA Championship. Then he signed a 5-year, $315 million extension. Now, he’s in Paris competing for Gold with the United States men’s basketball team and has just debuted his third Jordan Brand signature sneaker. The NBA champion laced up a USA colorway of the Tatum 3 against Brazil.
The shape and design language are a natural continuation of the Tatum 2 with a new hero detail. The textile pods anchored the Tatum 2, and the line details throughout steal the show on the 3. The shape and position the pods occupied the 2 are still visible, with cutouts showing a foam upper foundation. Overall, the Tatum 3 looks like an aesthetic throwback to the late 90s and early 200s and popular sneakers like the Jordan Women’s. Release information has not been shared by Jordan Brand yet.
