Joe looks poised to take us through a trip down memory lane for his 11th collection with New Balance.
Today, the Chicago native shared a look at his upcoming collaboration on the New Balance 2010. The model, which debuted in the Spring, has already made a mark with sneaker heads and collaborators alike. The ABZORB midsole maximizes the shoe’s comfort- and it is something Joe made sure to point out with this collaborative announcement.
On his Instagram, Joe calls the 2010 the “Anti feet hurters”- alluding to the sneakers’ comfort. These ” functional house-shoe runners” were made for the pavement, and have quickly been praised for their style and comfort. The 2010 has seen some early success with both inline colorways and collaborations. Now, it is time for Joe to put his signature touch on the freshman sneaker.

Joe Freshgood’s project on the 2010 will arrive in two colorways. The previously teased “Bag Lady” colorway arrives in a white upper with pops of yellow. The “Hand Me Down” colorway made its stunning debut today- as the sneaker was not revealed until Joe’s announcement today. The sneaker provides a darker twist to it’s counterpart with hits of brown throughout. Both sneakers, of course, come with the stand-out details of a wool upper, as well as a plethora of fuzzy laces to make your pair your own.
“I wanted this project to represent the current bag I’m in, handled with care, stitched with love. Protected with cozy. minimal branding. sexy. Aged Well felt like the final album to the saga… this is my mixtape DVD,” said Joe when sharing his thought process behind this collaboration.
No further details are currently available regarding this nostalgic project on the 2010. Though, there are murmurs that the sneakers will debut at ComplexCon in Las Vegas this upcoming weekend.
For now, keep it locked with the SoleSavy DROPS app. There, you can get the latest on this collaboration and more upcoming releases.
