Jordan Brand and Russell Westbrook have more on the way as the fifth model in the Why Not? line is here. Unveiled during the Christmas Day match-up vs. the Nets in the “Inner City” colorway, the Why Not? .5 taps into Westbrook’s strengths and draws in inspiration from his love for music, fashion, his upbringing, and more.
The Why Not? .5 continues design elements from previous models that blend purpose and premium materials with other inspiration, such as the shoe’s rugged look that tales on from a trail-running shoe. The Why Not? .5 includes a large-volume Zoom Air unit in the forefoot for energy return, helping Westbrook and his explosive bursts of speed. Other technical details include midfoot bands for a locked-down fit, an external heel counter, and a TPU heel piece, inspired by the Nike Huarache.
With the new year finally here, Jordan Brand has announced the upcoming colorways as “Raging Grace,” “Childhood,” and “Hype Music” come into the fold for the Why Not? .5 rollout.
Jordan Why Not? .5 “Childhood”
The colorway takes inspiration from Westbrook’s three kids, who provide priceless lessons and a glimpse into what the future holds. The unique personalities of Noah, Jordan, and Skye come together for the “Childhood” iteration, embodying the next generation of leaders who will go on to change the world. The Jordan Why Not? .5 “Childhood” releases on March 1 in full-family sizing.
Jordan Why Not? .5 “Raging Grace”
The “Raging Grace” colorway reflects Westbook’s ability to go into beast mode by flipping the switch, tapping into his explosive and fearless playstyle. The colorway also takes on from his off-court greatness as a father, husband, son, and brother. The Jordan Why Not? .5 “Raging Grace” releases on March 15 in full-family sizing.
Jordan Why Not? .5 “Hype Music”
The “Hype Music” colorway is all about keeping the momentum rolling.
