From working at the GAP to working with the GAP, Kanye West’s fashion empire has been expansive. Recently, he and Adidas made a promise to make Yeezys available for everyone which has resulted in a myriad of restocks and new sneakers. Recently, it was reported that Kanye and his team had applied for a trademark for YZYSPLY and now we’re starting to see why.
Kanye is making strides to completely reinvent the consumer marketplace by offering luxurious piece through a mainstream marketplace as seen with the upcoming Yeezy Gap Engineered by Balenciaga collection announced earlier this year. For the first time ever and in conjunction with the Yeezy-Balenciaga collection, Kanye has redesigned the GAP flagship store in Times Square.
In a newly launched Instagram simply @Yeezy, the post shows a simple wordless transaction in a black room with a mountain of clothes behind the store clerk. The closing of the video features the GAP logo hinting that the Yeezy brand is moving into stores as was reported.
