KITH Checkout Guide

KITH is one of the biggest boutiques and brands out there and with that comes a consistent stream of releases that sell out. From their weekly Monday Program to online launches for the biggest sneaker releases out there, KITH dominates the market and plays a pivotal role in the culture.

Below we outline strategy on how to succeed when checking out on KITH. This guide requires at least basic completion of the Shopify anti-bot course we offer to members. Without that this guide will be harder to understand as we will not be simplifying basic strategy that everyone should know.

Essential Pre-Release Preparation:

  1. Clear cookies/cache for KITH to ensure there is no issues with checkout. I recommend this Chrome Plugin.
  2. Login to your account and ensure your address is saved: https://kith.com/account/login
  3. Make sure you have your addresses (shipping and billing) saved to your browser autofill for speedy check out
  4. Make sure you have your credit card saved to your browser autofill
  5. Memorize your CVV for your credit card
  6. It’s never a bad idea to login to your paypal account 5 minutes before release in case

Finding Links:

In general, the best method for finding a product online can be ranked as: (with their downfalls in brackets)

  1. Early link (sometimes stores change them prior to release)
  2. Monitor link (stores can turn off monitoring)
  3. Refreshing their website (website can crash or not show product in the right place)

I am someone who likes to be prepared so I tend to have all three options at my disposal. I will have one tab open prior to release with what we believe is the early link. One tab open to refresh the site (new arrivals, homepage, brand category etc). And finally, I will have the corresponding slack monitor channel open as well (#monitor-kith).

Preparing an Anti-Bot Cart:

STEP 1: Find any product to add to cart, it doesn’t matter what because KITH shipping is flat rate. Use something cheap to be safe.

STEP  2: Add that product to cart and then go to your CART (https://kith.com/cart)

STEP 3: Leave that tab open and leave the product in cart.

STEP 4: For an anti-bot cart to succeed you must enter the queue as early as you can. Go from your cart and hit checkout to enter the queue.

STEP  5: At this point you will be in a Shopify queue. Wait in queue until you get through.

STEP 6: Once through queue you can open another tab with the early link to the product or new arrivals page.

IMPORTANT: If you click checkout and you are taken directly to the shipping address screen without a queue then you did this too early. Go back in your browser and wait 10 second and try again. You MUST queue first.

Release Strategy:

STEP 1: At release time (usually 10AM or 11AM EST) go to the tab that got through queue and refresh it. This will take that tab to checkpoint.

STEP 2: Find the product you want to buy in ANOTHER tab and add to cart

STEP 3: Edit your cart to remove the item you do not want via the sidebar cart that opens when you add a new item to cart or at https://kith.com/cart.

IMPORTANT: DO NOT START ANOTHER CHECKOUT.

STEP 4: Go back to your original tab from step 1 that is now at checkpoint and do the captcha.

STEP 5: Hit continue, you will be taken to checkout with no queue.

STEP 6: The rest of the checkout is like any normal purchase, just be quick.

Dealing With Sold Out Items Once Through Queue:

If you get through queue and your item of choice is sold out do not give up here. You earned the right to purchase a product and others are still waiting in queue so you have an advantage.

YOU HAVE TWO OPTIONS:

OPTION 1: refresh your sold out tab over and over again, KITH is very likely to restock as late as 30-40 minutes into a release. This is the recommend option you take.

OR

OPTION 2:

Open a new tab and go to the store to see what items are in stock. Add a new size/item to your cart. Edit your cart to remove the item that is sold out. When you get back to this tab, check the URL in the bar at the top of chrome. It will look something like this:

https://www.kith.com/1875180/checkouts/3bad43bbc9bafed24fd0fd86380a2a1e/stock_problems?234131234

Remove everything after /stock_problems from the URL and hit enter.

It should now load your new cart with the item you recently added and allow you to purchase. That is assuming it did not sell out during the time you were editing your cart. You can repeat this process until there is no new products to add to cart.
