Ronnie Fieg and Kith are going back in time with its latest release. Previewed through the KITH Summer 2022 lookbook and teased by Fieg himself on a pair of occasions, a KITH x New Balance 990v4 is in the works, paying homage to a classic collaboration within the New Balance archive.
Kanye West in the United Arrows x New Balance 997.5
In 2009, Japanese label United Arrows teamed up with the Boston-based brand for a game-changing New Balance 997.5. The collab amassed popularity with Kanye West rocking the pair more than once. Nearly a decade after its release, Fieg tapped United Arrows for a collab with New Balance for a series of 997 OG, 997S, and 997S Fusion in 2018.

As KITH continues to celebrate its 10th anniversary, the boutique continues its partnership with New Balance. The latest installment reimagines the United Arrows colorway with the help of the 990v4 silhouette. The combination of grey hues with pink and purple details brings back the 997.5 with a modern touch à la KITH. The upcoming release is a part of a larger series where KITH brings back classics, such as the 990v3 “Dayton” and 990v1 “Dusty Rose” among others.
