The New Balance 2002R “Brown” Hits The Trails for Inspiration

The New Balance 2002R continues to be the focal point for the Boston-based brand. The latest colorway takes after the great outdoors as a hiking boot inspires the “Brown” iteration. But this isn’t just any hiking boot homage. As the godfather of the 2002R resurgence Yue Qu showcased, the New Balance 2002R “Brown” is inspired by the footwear in Animal Crossing.

A brown and mesh leather upper is paired with a black midsole & toe cap, metal loopholes, along with red, blue, and dark green details bringing the inspiration to life.

A release date for the New Balance 2002R “Brown” has not been announced. However, we expect the pair to release on NewBalance.com and select retailers soon. As always, our sneaker monitors and release day strategy will have members ready for drop day.
