New Balance’s Made in the USA Line is Revealed

The beloved line is introducing nine new sneakers.

Almost four years to the appointment of Teddy Santis as head of the Made in USA line- the latest offering from New Balance is upon us.


Headlining the collection, is the return of the fan favorite New Balance 992. Said sneaker will release in four colorways this Spring/Summer season. With a collaboration with JFG already in the books for the 992, and more rumored throughout the year, this latest collection will only bolster the stock of one of the most popular sneakers currently on the market.

Also appearing in the collection is the New Balance 997. Designed by the incomparable Steven Smith, the 997 originally released in 1991. Since then, the sneaker has enjoyed several “eras” of popularity. More recently, Santi’s Aime Leon Dore imprint released two colorways of the sneaker- including the spiritual return of one of the most beloved ALD collaborations. As part of the upcoming Made in the USA collection, the 997 will release in a “Moon Rock” colorway.

Rounding out the sneakers in the collection is the New Balance 990v6. Much like the 992- the v6 will appear four times in this Spring/Summer collection from the Made in USA line. Despite the drastic design departure from the 990s that predated it, the 990v6 has earned the support of New Balance dans through it’s updates in tech and comfort. The tasteful colorways in this collection do not hurt the sneaker, either.

The  New Balance Made in the USA Spring/Summer collection will release in waves in the coming months.

First up are the two “Moon Rock” colorways. The Mushroom/Moonrock 992 and 997 release via New Balance on March 27th. The collection should also be hitting New Balance boutiques.
