Sneaker culture and hip-hop overlap more than any other genre of music, and Reebok has been at the forefront of that connection since the 1980s. To celebrate hip-hop’s 50th anniversary, Reebok created a collection that highlights the impact black and brown people have had in society. The collection delivers two colorways of the Club c 85 and Classic Nylon, and an apparel collection that includes tees, hoodies, and tracksuits.
In addition to releasing the collection, Reebok is investing in the future of hip-hop by donating $30,000 to donation to Hip Hop For Change, an Oakland-based nonprofit that is reclaiming hip-hop culture as a vehicle for education, empowerment, and cultural innovation. “This collection goes beyond celebrating hip hop’s anniversary. It’s a tribute to the enduring impact of
Black and Brown communities in culture and society,” said Reebok’s Director of Human Rights Now! Product & Apparel Energy Concepts, Carmen Andrade Hardaway. The limited-edition Reebok collection will be available to purchase beginning November 6th, 2023, on Reebok.com in unisex sizing.
