Angel Reese Debuts First New Reebok Performance Basketball Sneaker In Over A Decade

All eyes will be on the matchup between the Indiana Fever and Chicago Sky tonight. Both teams are fighting for playoff positioning, but the game also features another faceoff between rookies Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese. The rivalry between the two followed them from college to the WNBA, where both are playing a prominent role in their first professional seasons. Reese made this game even more memorable by debuting the first new Reebok performance basketball sneaker since the early 2010s. The “Engine A” was first teased by Reebok’s President Of Basketball, Shaquille O’Neal, and features a modern take on the brand’s 90s design language and technology.

The low-top silhouette is inspired by the brand’s ’90s Mobius line and reintroduces its Energy Return System (ERS) cushioning. The upper uses lightweight synthetic materials, a molded heel counter, and an internal counter for increased lockdown. On the midsole, the Energy Return System uses nitrogen-infused foam to absorb energy, SUPERFLOAT foam in the heel and forefoot for comfort and bounce, and a high-density foam
rim and internal shank for stability. A TPU midsole accent and ‘sway bar’ nod to classic ’80s ERS models. The outsole features a multi-directional, modified herringbone traction pattern with underfoot cutouts that display the SUPEFLOAT core.

The Reebok Engine A will be available in Spring 2025, and the brand hinted at future news regarding an Angel Reese signature sneaker. In the meantime, she’ll play in the Engine A and recently released her first lifestyle footwear and apparel collection.

Sole Savy is unreal! With a busy schedule it’s hard to keep up on shoes, and the group keeps me up to date on releases, tips on how to manually cop, and a marketplace with killer deals from fellow like minded collectors. It’s changed the sneaker game for me!

@SoleSavy is the truth. They've helped me cop kicks I never would've imagined getting at retail. Members always willing to assist on drops too. And most of all, a REAL community of REAL sneakerheads. These guys should be the gold standard for sneaker communities! #LifetimeMember

My membership paid for itself three fold by being solely responsible for my union 4’s, mesh sacai waffles, sacai blazers, court purple aj1s, glow in the dark yeezy 350s, travis scott lows (which I traded to get desert ore ow’s), air max 1 londons, bc3’s for way under retail etc.

Can't say enough about SS. The stellar help with copping shoes is a given but it's the community that makes it extra special. Hands down one of the best decisions I made as a wannabe sneakerhead.

The community of sneakerheads and resources available to help manually cop are great and really will help you get more Ws. The Zoom calls for hyped drops like Union Jordan 4 only adds to the camaraderie while providing real time instruction
