Kyrie Irving’s coming out party with Anta couldn’t have come at a better time. The former Nike signature sneaker star is one game away from returning to the NBA Finals, and his debut KAI 1 signature with Anta has sold out in multiple colorways. Now, the Chinese Brand is preparing to launch something Kyrie never got to create with Nike, a lifestyle silhouette. Between his love for Nike SB Dunks and the success of his signature line, a lifestyle sneaker would have made sense with the Swoosh, but historically, lifestyle offerings from signature athletes haven’t done well for Nike.
The Kyrie x Anta “Tribe” comes in a classic low-top leather court sneaker with subtle branding. The black and sail pair uses mesh and suede, while the white pair uses leather, suede, and a hit of purple. Kyrie x Anta branding is featured on the heel, forefoot, and midfoot. A release date for North America has not been announced.
