Who designed the CapSole pod system?
Mansour Abdulbaki, is a chemical engineer with a Ph.D in Polymers & Nanocomposites (sneaker materials). He designed the patent-pending preservation system and selected the preservative.
What if I want to wear and preserve my sneakers?
Wearing and preserving is exactly what CapSole recommends! They suggest a Wear, Preserve, Store approach. Wearing your shoes helps, but it doesn’t stop yellowing & aging due to exposure to air (oxidation & hydrolysis). Preserve when you’re not wearing. CapSole provides an airtight seal & replaces the air inside with a preservative to help prevent aging & yellowing. Store in your shoe box or wherever you prefer until it’s time to wear your shoes again. Our pods are reusable & easy to use.
How was CapSole tested?
The CapSole team conducted over 400 hours of accelerated age testing on Air Force 1s, which equates to years of actual wear. The conditions used during testing include extreme exposure to oxygen, moisture, light, and heat.
Results
Test results showed yellowing and aging were prevented by 2X when using CapSole, doubling the sneaker’s lifespan.
